There is Beauty All Around - Day 125

I found this beauty in the midst of a storm.  All of a sudden, the clouds lifted, the sun came out, and for a few moments, I had this.

The Mogollon Rim - Day 124

I love the Rim Country, as it is called.  There is so much beauty in nature if we can just look past the current difficulties and find it.  These pictures we taken as the forest gives way to the cliffs of the Rim.  I love the golden brown in the midst of the white snow.

I also love how the trees can hang on and grow, nearly anywhere.  No matter what the challenge or the adversity, they just keep hanging on and growing.

Four Peaks - Day 123

These are the mountains that I grew up around.  I have climbed them, hiked them, and picnicked on them.  For me, they are a glimpse of home remembered. I loved the way the sky was red turning purple in these pictures.  They are not doctored.  Only cropped to get the foreground out of them. 

I'm gonna miss him - Day 122

My grand-daughter Lillie was so sad to leave on Sunday.  The thing she was absoluted heartbroken over, wasn't leaving family, it was leaving Arnold!  (He is my grand-daughter Nora's new puppy).  She cried and cried until we took Arnold to the airport with us so that she could hug him, hold him, and squeeze him all the way there.  It is hard to leave a new friend!

The Harrowing Drive - Day 121

We just HAD to drive down the mountain to say good-bye to family and spend a New Year's Eve night.  The drive took over twice as long as normal.  I will remain silent on the stomach aches and gray hairs that it caused.  Here are some amazing pictures so that you can understand the magnitude of the event.

Grammy's Gifts - Day 120

This year for Christmas, I made the grand-children gifts.  Each of them received a blanket of super soft material, as well as a towel with their name embroidered on it.  Each towel also had an emblem, princesses for the girls, and batman for the boys (I know, but that is their current favorite).  Here are just a few examples to share.

Dog in Snow - Day 119

Well, we have below zero temps and plenty of snow.  The dog loves it, even if I am freezing.  I think he likes to drag the snow all over the house the best.
