This is one of our most favorite traditions fo the holiday season. We read the book and watch the movie. We make hot chocolate (the mexican version with cinnamon in it) and we devote an entire evening to relaxing and having fun as a family.

I am with you on this...love this movie and the book; so very precious! When it was PC to give student Christmas presents and watch movies in school we would read the book then watch the movie and do as you do; have hot cocoa and I'd give each of them a bell attached to a ribbon and a cross stictch name plaquard...the higher ups certainly took the fun out of that!

...I remember the whole class went to see this and we were late. Sat in the front row. Not a good place to be with this movie. I was SO dizzy when we left. But it is a sweet movie. We have the book to. We buy 1 Christmas book every year.
ReplyDeleteOne of my absolute favorite books growing up! I am so sad that I'm not allowed to share Christmas stories with my preschool class... sigh. I love the quote too!!
